New Giraffe for Toronto Zoo - Catherine - 05-14-2015
I am happy about this. Toronto Zoo has two lovely female Giraffes. Our old male dies recently so the ladies are alone. It seems a fine young male is on his way. We will have a happy herd again and more baby giraffes.

Kiko is already a celebrity in his own right so he will draw lots of attention to the giraffes and their status as endangered species.
It is also going to be fun to see him up close.

I promise to take pictures. I am due for a zoo visit soon. He will probably be quarantined, but I will go see him as soon as he is on display. Sometimes members get special sneak previews. They let us in to see an animal or display area days before the general public is admitted.
I actually got to walk inside the Snow Leopard exhibit before the Snow Leopard got to see it.

I understand it is all settled and he will be on his way soon. They would want to move him before it gets too hot. Also it would be nice if he was with us for the summer.
I am sure the girls will be pleased. He looks very handsome.
