Delta Airlines changes pet travel rules - Catherine - 11-27-2015

Delta Airlines will not be accepting pets a checked luggage in future.
Small animals can be flown in the cabin.
Bigger dogs will be handled in a much more secure and safe manner.

It may be harder to ship an animal this way. It may be more expensive. It will be safer.

I also like the attitude. Calling pets baggage was something I never liked. Often enough something would go wrong because baggage does not need the same care as a live animal.

In the end this is a good thing.

Sounds good to me not that I'm ever liable to send a pet on the plane but lots do.

We flew Air Canada this summer and took our cat, she was in her carrier we had to put it under the seat in front of us.

I am glad they let people bring cats on the plane. It must have been frightening to be in the cargo hold for a small animal. At least when your cat is under the seat, it knows you are there.
