Delta Airlines changes pet travel rules - Catherine - 11-27-2015 Delta Airlines will not be accepting pets a checked luggage in future. Small animals can be flown in the cabin. Bigger dogs will be handled in a much more secure and safe manner. https://www.yahoo.com/travel/delta-stops-accepting-pets-as-1302451483934774.html http://www.mprnews.org/story/2015/11/17/delta-to-stop-letting-pets-fly-as-checked-baggage It may be harder to ship an animal this way. It may be more expensive. It will be safer. I also like the attitude. Calling pets baggage was something I never liked. Often enough something would go wrong because baggage does not need the same care as a live animal. In the end this is a good thing. RE: Delta Airlines changes pet travel rules - Catslave. - 11-27-2015 Sounds good to me not that I'm ever liable to send a pet on the plane but lots do. RE: Delta Airlines changes pet travel rules - cathie - 11-28-2015 We flew Air Canada this summer and took our cat, she was in her carrier we had to put it under the seat in front of us. RE: Delta Airlines changes pet travel rules - Catherine - 11-28-2015 I am glad they let people bring cats on the plane. It must have been frightening to be in the cargo hold for a small animal. At least when your cat is under the seat, it knows you are there. |
