Canadian Dairy Workers Abuse Cows - Ruth - 03-03-2016

Look on this Facebook page about a foot and a half down on the right side and you will see how these cows were treated by these employees:

It is terrible how they treat dairy cows. They are such gentle creatures. The whole dairy industry needs to change and start respecting the cows and treating them well.  There is no justification for treating any animal like that.

That is deeply upsetting Ruth. But thank goodness it came to light so something can be done about it, and hopefully treatment like that will be prevented in other places too.

I found this on the same page:

Now that is how we should be treating cows. Beautiful video!

That is a beautiful video. It shows clearly how sweet and gentle cows are.

It makes the cruelty  towards them seem even more inappropriate. No animal should ever be treated like that.

Cows are very nice beings and very passive. I wish they would all rise up and attack the people that hurt them. But they won't so we have to be their voices.

I think the video in question did have a good effect. There has been talk of having standards for the treatment of dairy cattle.
I know one cheese producer dropped its ties with a dairy that was abusing cows. They even dumped the milk.

The groups that are getting images of how animals are treated are having a real impact on the general public. Many people at least admit that animals are not well treated.  They may not yet be motivated to act, but knowing is the first step.
