This is a wonderful story with a happy ending. A mother duck crossing a road had to hide under a car with her ducklings when a hawk showed up. The police came to her rescue and after a bit of a struggle they found a way to get her out safely with all her little babies.

This is the time of year when we hear duckling rescue stories. I am sure we will find other interesting rescues before we hit the summer months.
Mama duck was very clever this time. She keep her brood safe.

Good for her! What a clever thing to do. Birds really look after their little ones. They are wonderful parents.

Ducks are remarkable, but they are forever needing rescue for their babies. There always seem to be people who are willing to rescue them.
Mama ducks seem to understand that people will help them.
She was a very clever duck this time.
