Animals with misleading names - Catherine - 11-21-2016

I found this interesting. I also learned that I have been wrong all my life about some animals.

I thought mountain goats were a type of sheep. I have even seen them in the wild. You think I would have figured it out. They are actually antelope family.
So, what animals were you wrong about?

What a fascinating article. Many of the animal categories i didn't know.
I used to see wild mountain goats too. They are huge and can be a bit fierce if someone accidentally walks into their territory. I always thought they were "Goats" too, and didn't realise they were in the Antelope family.

When people name things they don't always know what they are naming.

I don't know what I would have called that flying mammal. It is like nothing I have ever seen.
