Australia proposes animal testing ban - Catherine - 07-03-2017

Australia is considering banning the animal testing of cosmetics and the chemicals to be used in cosmetics. This isn't a complete ban of animal testing of products, but it is still significant. It is a move away from the old standard of using animals and a move towards alternative methods.

Australia is yet another country making the right decision.  Once you reject animal testing for some things you have admitted that animal testing should be stopped. It is the beginning of the end of animal testing for Australia.

Each time a country makes this choice we are one step closer to a global ban of animal testing. I think we can hope and anticipate seeing this move. Increasingly animal testing is being rejected and we are finding better more humane methods.

Animal testing never really worked anyhow and it gave us a false sense of security.

Not before time needs more doing though.

I am hoping many more countries follow Australia's lead.
