Art and animal rights - Catherine - 10-07-2017

The Guggenheim Museum opened an exhibit that drew a reaction because it showed animal abuse. The museum wisely removed the videos.

I think it was cruel and abusive to use the dogs that way. I would worry about people whop would want to watch a video like that. The other question that leaps to mind is "How is that art?"

There is a bit of a counter reaction that blames animal rights activists for disrupting a display of art.
The video isn't art it is abuse. None of us should want to see the video and enjoy it. It is wrong to use animals that way. Activists are just the voice of reason pointing this out.

I comment the museum for removing the display. They should have been more aware of what they were showing the public when they set the display up. At least they did the right thing in the end.
