No boundaries - Knight of Albion - 12-05-2013

Kind heart, gentle heart:
Rescue the drowning insect; carry the snail on the pavement to safety; return the helpless worm, writhing on concrete, to the sanctuary of Mother Earth.
Render help and kindness, wherever it is needed, to all life, great or small. Suffering has no boundaries, neither should compassion.

Beautiful. A very profound message and a good code to live by.
I try to rescue earthworms after rainstorms. I can't save them all, but I can save the ones I see.
I think of it as living gentle on the earth and treating the rest of life as family.

I think we should always try to remember this and strive to live by it.

Dear Knight....
So true. It's a question of what the Heart tells us to do. And there we will always find the wisdom of kindness and compassion.

I am reminded of something from my teenage years. A funny story in a way, but with a core of great compassion:
My mother, father, brother and I were in town, walking together across a very busy road. The traffic lights had changed to 'stop' on a huge crossroads, and we were dashing across quickly.
There were some Pigeons who also decided to cross the road right then! But they were slower than the people. Then the lights changed back to green. My Dad went back out into the road, and held up the whole flow of traffic, until the Pigeons had safely crossed!

Bless his heart and Soul.

How lovely!

There you are, the power of example ... One compassionate act plants the seed of compassion in others and inspires them to be compassionate also.

I love the visual image of a man stopping traffic for pigeons. I shall keep it in mind as I deal with busy streets and crazy traffic. Maybe I will find a pigeon that needs help some day. I do hold the door open for them at the subway station. The pigeons go in and get warm and they even ride the trains.

I think our Noble Knight is a beacon of light in the darkness. I always know that he is out there living life as an example of how we all should treat living creatures. It is a comfort knowing that he is out there. Thank-you Dear Knight.
