This is a very thoughtful documentary which I recently found:

"Call of Life -Facing the Mass Extinction" examines the rapid loss of bio-diversity. Far from that being something we can't do anything about, the documentary suggests we need to release ourselves from the delusion of consumerism to re-connect with our Consciousness and our sacred land -the Earth.
A nicely presented film, but it's a full-length one at 1hr 19 minutes

I think I can watch that tonight. With my furnace out I can go to bed until it is fixed and the house is warm again.
So thank-you for finding me something interesting to watch.
I will let you know what I think of it.

I made it part way through and fell asleep. It was interesting, but I was really tired. I never thought about how losing the salmon deprives the higher regions of the nutrients the salmon bring from the sea. Nutrients wash down stream, salmon bring them back. That is just one small piece of the damage done by extinctions. I will watch again tomorrow and find out what they conclude.
