Great news! Canada has banned gestation crates for pigs!

Thanks to thousands of people who signed petitions to ban this intensive farming practice, where pregnant sows do not have enough room to move properly, or turn around.

I am so happy to hear this. I hadn't heard the news. I feel better about my country now that we are doing the right thing. I still can't believe we ever treated animals this way.
I hope this change spreads around the world and I hope this change spreads to our treatment of other kinds of animals.
