Thank You - Knight of Albion - 05-27-2014 ... for saving my life and caring for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hld81D0Vlxo RE: Thank You - LPC - 05-28-2014 Bookmarked! A delightful video, showing how we cannot stereotype any animal as a "brute beast who just kills". Recognition and love are there, for all to see. This reminds me of the Christian the lion video on You Tube - and also of the story of Androcles (which may well be true). Good find, Noble Knight! RE: Thank You - Knight of Albion - 05-28-2014 I thought you'd like that one! A good point, the story of Androcles may well have been inspired by an actual event. Also perhaps Daniel? It would certainly have seemed miraculous to the ancient mind that such a beast would refrain from killing when gifted with the opportunity. Even today it seems astonishing. That's the transformative power of love. RE: Thank You - Tobi - 05-28-2014 What a wonderful reunion. Apart from the lion's capacity for love and gratitude, it also shows there's nothing wrong with his memory. RE: Thank You - Catherine - 05-28-2014 How beautiful. After a long day at work, it is heartwarming to sit down and see such an expression of love. She was there for him and he remembers her with love and affection. We touch the lives of animals and they remember us and are grateful. RE: Thank You - Cibach - 05-29-2014 Another fabulous story. It really is heart warming to see how much affection the lion has for her. RE: Thank You - Catherine - 05-30-2014 That must be quite a hug he gave her. How amazing that he did hug her. It seems that humans are not the only animals that hug. RE: Thank You - Knight of Albion - 05-30-2014 All the more remarkable when you consider this is a top of the chain carnivore. He could smash her skull to pulp in an instant if he chose to! 'The lion will lie down with the lamb'. A reminder that animals look to humans for example and when love is exemplified the door is opened to response. RE: Thank You - Catherine - 05-31-2014 And maybe even animals at the top of the food chain are not the killers that we make them out to be. They kill because they need to eat, but maybe they need love just as much as food. That lion certainly loves her very much. |
