Farewell to Saunders the skunk, Animal Ambassador for Science North - Catherine - 12-05-2021

Science North is the science center in northern Ontario, near Sudbury. Saunders is a striped skunk who arrived at Science North almost a decade ago. Since then he has educated many visitors about skunks. He will be greatly missed by the staff and volunteers of Science North.

I have not yet managed to visit Science North. Now I really wish I had gone in time to meet Saunders. I think for one little skunk, he did a volume of work teaching people about skunks. They are such charming little creatures. If you don't threaten them, they do not spray you.  I have skunks living on my street and I have never had a problem. They go about their business and bother no one.
It sounds like Saunders went about his business and greeted everyone.
He had a good life. It is just sad for those who loved him to see him go.
