Hives for Humanity - Catherine - 07-15-2014

This is a group I have never heard of, but the idea is great. They have a project in Vancouver, British Colombia to bring bees into the city.

I love the idea that each neighbourhood has its own flavour of honey.

What a great idea. And apparently, bees thrive in cities! Urban areas can be much healthier for them than farmland!

Oddly cities restrict what chemicals you can use on your lawns and gardens. Also there are some strong eco-friendly movements in cities.
It is a healthier environment for everyone even though it is a city. How odd is that.Undecided

City people cherish their bees. We have to work at providing for them so we are happy to see them. It will be really weird if the only bees to survive are urban bees.
