A zoo decided to give mirrors to various animals as an enrichment experience and to study their behavior.
The results were funny and interesting.

Definitely the animals reacted. The birds seemed to be the most excited. The meercats were a close second. All the animals were interested.
The real question now is whether they realized it was a reflection of themselves. Some animals do recognize that they are seeing themselves.
I can't tell from the pictures. I would thing over time the zoo keepers will know the answer.
For now, the animals are having fun.
