Karma, the 12-week-old Shih Tzu had probably never been groomed before she was rescued. Her matted hair made he look twice her size.
Once the matted hair was shaved off, they discovered a little dog with the sweetest eyes. She really is pretty, and she feels much better about herself and those around her. It is like she has gained confidence from her improved appearance.

We all feel better after a good haircut. Dogs are just like us. They feel better when they have been cleaned up.
All that matted hair must have been uncomfortable. I certainly didn't expect her to turn out the way she did. The cute little dog under all the mats was a real surprise.
