Malama Manu Sanctuary has 275 parrots. The birds are rescued from a number of different places. They brought the birds in to protect them from the hurricane, but now with the island cut off, feeding them is getting to be difficult.
Project Dynamo to the rescue. They have been rescuing people stranded by the storm. They assembled a team of boats and set out to rescue the parrots.
A bird farm on the other side of Florida can take the birds for now.

This is a remarkable rescue. A number of people had to come together to make it possible.
The birds are well for now. Hopefully someday soon they can return home. As soon as the hurricane damage is cleaned up.
