Jonathan the tortoise turns 190 years old - Catherine - 12-03-2022
Jonathan, the Seychelles Giant Tortoise is about to turn 190 years old. He has been living on St Helena since 1882 when he was brought there as a gift for the governor. He is the oldest living land animal and the oldest Chelonian (turtle family) ever recorded.
There will be a three day party with a tortoise friendly cake and a video about his life.

I wonder what goes into a tortoise friendly cake? I am sure Jonathan will enjoy it. He may be showing his age a little, but he is still doing pretty well for a guy of 190 years.
