Pink Iguana hatchlings discovered in Galapagos Islands - Catherine - 12-25-2022

Pink Iguanas are very rare. They were only discovered in 1986. It took years to realize they are a separate species.
They only live on one island so this discovery is special. They discovered hatchlings and juveniles so there is a population to work with for conservation.

It must be an incredible feeling to find members of a species that have seldom been seen. To find multiple iguanas of different ages is such a hopeful event for the species. Now they have found more, they can study them and help them survive. Iguanas are beautiful. I would love to see a pink iguana. Even the idea of a pink lizard sounds beautiful.
