They have actually found a new species of snake in the Ecuadorian Amazon. It is a Dwarf Boa only a foot long.
It is a true Boa with Boa characteristics, but it also has its unique features that make it special.
Yes it is already endangered because of habitat loss.

We keep finding new species in odd places. This planet still has secrets. I hope that work is done to save this beautiful little snake. It would be sad to lose a species we have only just met.
