Power company vs Eagles nest - Catherine - 02-05-2023

PG&E has been under pressure to fix its power lines to prevent more wildfires. They were determined to remove a tree that has been home to an eagles nest for years. Environmental groups and Indigenous rights activists have been watching over the tree. If the Eagles are actively on the nest, PG&E can't touch it.
Would the eagles return in time to save their nest? YES! They are back and on the nest. It is illegal to disturb an Eagle, especially two sitting on a nest.

This fight was won and one tree was spared. Many more trees will be cut down. PG&E wants to fix the problem of wildfires by blaming the forest instead of their faulty, aging equipment. So the fight goes on.
