Tangled eagles rescued - Catherine - 02-08-2023
Two female eagles got into a fight and tangled their talons. One had a broken wings and they were unable to free themselves.
Hope For Wildlife was called in. They had to transport the two birds with their talons still tangled.
In the end they had to pry the two birds apart. The injured bird has had surgery to set the broken wing.
Things went well and she should recover and be released in the spring.

I did not know that eagles could tangle their talons like that. It is a good thing they were found and rescued. On their own they had little chance of survival.
It is a good thing that groups like Hope For Wildlife exist.

There are a lot of good animal lovers out there trying to help animals in need. For two eagles in trouble it made a real difference.
