UK passing bill to ban importation of hunting trophies - Catherine - 03-18-2023

It is finally happening. The UK is passing a bill to ban the importation of "trophies" from a number of species.
A number of animal rights/conservation groups and big name stars have been pushing for this.
The bill is a private members bill and it is in process. It has support and it popular with the public.

In many ways the outrage over the killing of Cecil the Lion has been the push behind this.
Sad as his death was, it has served to protect other animals and bring about change.
Nothing will bring him back, but at least his death was not for nothing.
No animal should end up as someone's trophy.
