Activists in Japan fight against festival that injures horses - Catherine - 05-31-2023 As part of centuries old traditions, horses are ridden along a route to a local shrine. To make it more "exciting" a wall has been added that the horses must jump. Horses have been injured and even died because of this tradition. I am sure there are some key components that can be used to celebrate without risking harm to the horses involved. It is time this is changed. |
