Man drives 500 miles to save a bird egg. - Catherine - 06-13-2023

A man in Texas was clearing land when he ran over a bird's nest. The eggs were destroyed, all except for one. In an effort to save it, he drove 500 miles holding the egg to keep it warm.  A baby road runner hatched out. He then drove another 160 miles to a bird rescue that could care for the baby bird.
They really tried, but sadly baby Miles died a couple of days later.

It is sad that the little bird died, but that doesn't make the efforts to save him less remarkable. The willingness to drive that far to save a baby bird is a real  sign of how kind and good the man is.
