British open delayed by a toad - Catherine - 07-23-2023

I understand that the British open is an important golf tournament. There are things that can slow it down, but a Natterjack toad on the 13th green brought things to a complete halt. The toad is a protected species and must be removed by a specialist.
The toad was eventually removed and the game continued.

Who knew toads were so powerful. It is good to know that they are protected and respected.
Personally I would consider the toad to be the highlight of the game.
