Animals trapped by the US border wall died in a wildfire - Catherine - 01-12-2024

Every so often I come across a story that makes me feel sick. This is one of them.
The USA has built a border wall between Mexico and itself. It covers sections of the border.
Last August on the US side, a wildfire trapped over 100 animals against the wall. They burned to death. There was no escape because of a man made structure.

They fled the fire hoping to escape only to be trapped by a concrete wall.
Think of their fear and desperation as the fire approached and there was nowhere to go.
The image that comes to mind is horrible.

This is not the first time animals have died. In 2009 hundreds of tortoise shells were found after a flood. Sadsmiley

The wall is a death trap and an ecological menace. Angry
