A man ignored signs and drove on the beach and destroyed a Western Snowy Plovers nest.

A hotel worker in Florida drove a golf cart over sleeping Black Skimmers and killed five of them.

There are other incidents from previous years. This is a disturbing trend. People are showing no regard for birds and even deliberately destroying them.
Why? What could possibly motivate someone to drive over sleeping birds. Why would anyone destroy a nest full of eggs. It is not just that they are endangered. Why would anyone destroy any bird?
