People brought a 7 week old puppy to the vet for euthanasia because it had a birth defect. The vet offered them the option of surrendering the puppy to him.
That is what they chose to do. The vet now has the puppy and is already working to fix the birth defect.

It is a beautiful little puppy and the vet's family loves it. It is sad, but the people probably couldn't afford to have the puppy fixed. The vet is able to do the work himself so he can afford it. It is a happy ending. Good for the vet that he was willing to take on a needy puppy.
