Memorial to animals lost in the Marshall Fire - Catherine - 10-25-2024

On Dec 30, 2021 major wildfires spread across Colorado. The fires are known as the Marshall Fire. The fire spread quickly and destroyed Louisville Colorado.

It is estimated that over 1000 pets died in Louisville Colorado during the Marshal Fire.  Sadly, people were unable to rescue their pets.
As part of the rebuilding, Louisville has opened a memorial to honor the lost pets and the other animals that died.
The artist is a fire fighter and it has been paid for by donations. It is a place where people can come and remember the pets they lost.

It is hard to imagine what it would be like to lose a pet like that.
I hope the memorial brings some peace to the people of Louisville.
