Star of TV show Hudson and Rex dies of cancer - Catherine - 02-13-2025
German Shepherd, Diesel, who played Rex on the hit TV series Hudson and Rex, had died of cancer. Diesel played the character, Rex, through 6 seasons and was partway through the shooting of season 7. He appeared in over 100 episodes. Diesel's nephews were already in training for the role so they have taken over for him. Two other nephews were already working as stunt doubles.
His handler and all the cast and crew of the show are deeply saddened by the loss.

Diesel was a true star and he will be missed. He was a real professional and he was a credit to his profession both as a trained dog and a dog detective.
