On a very cold night in January, the Michigan Duck Rescue and Sanctuary got a call about a group of ducks huddled together freezing out there in the cold.
The Lysons who founded the duck rescue headed out right away. The rest of their team was out on another rescue, but neighbours near where the ducks had been abandoned were ready to help. All 13 ducks were rounded up and taken back to the sanctuary. They were given water and a good meal and a warm place to sleep.

They look so much happier in the picture where they have food and water. Most likely some of them would have died without rescue that night. They certainly were no doing well without food and water. How heartless do you have to be to just leave ducks like that to fend for themselves. Good thing there are people out there
who will come to the rescue no matter how cold it is. For 13 ducks it made all the difference.
