Dog owners not warned of dangers of arthritis drug - Catherine - 03-11-2025

Many dog owners are very upset right now. They gave their dogs a government approved arthritis drug. The dogs developed terrible side effects and eventually died. People just wanted to help their dogs, but they ended up watching them die terribly.

The drug company knew that there were side effects and that some dogs would be badly effected. They did now really warn people.

Even if the serious side effects are rare, they are not rare to the person whose dog has just died.
Drug companies should be held more accountable. They should have to test drugs better and warn people if there are problems.
Many of the people who lost pets would not have taken a risk if they had known what could happen.

The drug may still be useful, but people need to know the risks and make a choice.
Those who gave the medication to their pets and then watched them die, will always feel somehow at fault and the loss will be much harder.
