A horrible case of animal abuse has just come to light.The man bought young puppies on line and mutilated them and left them for dead.
The puppies have been found in an area of Mississauga, left where they would be seen.
Of the latest four found, one has died the others are receiving medical care.
There are at least 8 puppies involved, but the police think there are more.

These puppies were purchased online. Pet sales online are not well regulated. People purchasing online pets are not being assessed as suitable pet owners.
There is no follow-up with the purchaser. That is how this man was able to buy so many puppies and do what he wanted with them.
There needs to be some regulation so that helpless pets like young puppies are not sold to someone who plans to abuse them.
They also need a conviction with a strong sentence in this case, to send a strong message that animal abuse will not be tolerated.
