Yes I meant Australia and Ontario Canada.
Someone must have brought in an illegal turtle and then found it too much work.
Sadly they released her.

There is no way the turtle would do well in a Canadian winter. Our turtles hibernate.
It is a good thing she was recognized as an outsider. That saved her life.
Reptilla will know how to care for her. I don't know what her future will be, but she is safe for now.

The turtle, now called Dinosaur is safely being cared for at Reptilia, and Ontario reptile zoo.

She will have a good  home with them and they will look after her very well.

Sad news.
They gave Dinosaur the Fly River Turtle the best of care. She was warm and comfortable. Everything possible was done to help her survive, but
sadly she died.

Being abandoned in cold Canadian waters was just too much for a tropical turtle.
Those months in the wild would have been so difficult for her.

All we can do is be glad she died safe and warm, and well cared for.
Good bye little Dinosaur, you will be missed.
