Bird flu has been detected at a poultry farm so its 161,000 birds will be culled. There is a transport ban for poultry farms for a ten mile radius around the farm.
The Agriculture Ministry has ordered farms to keep their birds indoors and all bird shows have been cancelled.

We are still quite helpless against bird flu. We need a vaccine. Could a farm with 161,000 birds really vaccinate all of them?
Is part of our problem with bird flu because of the way we farm animals these days?
These intense, heavily populated farms are breeding ground for diseases. If bird flu gets in, it spreads very fast.
While we are looking for ways to cure bird flu, maybe we need a cure for factory farming.
