New Zealand plans to eradicate feral cats by 2050 - Catherine - 11-24-2025
We have looked at this subject before. Feral cats are driving native species to extinction.
There are over 2 million feral cats. Something has to be done.

Sadly the plan is to catch and kill the cats. There are groups fighting this solution. There are groups fighting for this solution.
I don't like the idea of 2 million cats being hunted and killed. There will be some cruelty taking place.
Is Trap Neuter Release a possibility? If it were to be done, it needs to be done on a massive scale. It would require help from other countries.
Otherwise the cats would multiply faster than they could be neutered.
The situation is desperate and I have no idea what could be done that is a humane suggestion.
It is our fault that the cats are there. We caused the problem. We need to find a human solution.
