Are you talking about automatic feeders?
I don't have a cat so I have never used one.
I have a guinea pig and I am his automatic feeder.
One squeak from him and I automatically feed him.

I have a cat and they say that the tilted cat bowls are the best my cat Edward has them they say it stops them from being sick.
