Marineland threatening to euthanize its whales, again - Catherine - 01-24-2026

The sooner they shut Marineland down the better. They want to sell the whales and make money from them.
They are supposed to provide a safe and suitable retirement for them. When they don't get their own way they threaten
to kill the whales.

The fact that they threaten to kill the whales tells us how little they care about their welfare.
The longer this goes on the more likely it is that more of the whales will die. Many have died already.
Maybe they should sell the land to pay for the whale's care. After all, the whales earned a lot of money for Marineland while it was open.
Somehow, I don't think this is going to end well.

The Canadian government has granted conditional approval for moving the whales.

It may not be a perfect solution, but it at least saves their lives.
I think Marineland was prepared to kill them all.
How this works out for the whales and how they survive the move remains to be seen.
Who knows what will happen to the dolphins.
