Snakes on a Plain! - Catherine - 10-22-2014

Let me start off by saying I am so jealous. I would be ecstatic if 102 snakes decided to hibernate with me. I am sure I would set up a cool place for them and be happy to guard them while they sleep. Some people just don't know good fortune when they see it. At least they are not hurting the snakes or tossing them out in the cold.

The video is good on this one(I like it)

This would be one good reason for moving to Saskatchewan.
Hopefully I will dream of happy snakes hibernating in my place.

You so funny, Catherine.
It would be your little slice of heaven, right?!

Why do other people have all the good luck.Smiley4

I would love to see the snakes come out of hibernation just once.

Of course my little Hognose snakes hibernate. They go into their house and cover the entrance with bedding. For six weeks, if I go near them I hear hissing and huffing(go away and leave me alone, can't you see we are sleeping). When they come out the are ravenously hungry and hissy and huffy(can't you see we are hungry, what is taking you so long, feed us now!)

Somehow a tangle of garter Snakes seems like more fun.

I hear that another 100 snakes got into their place. Why are some people so lucky!

Oh my!! I hope it happens for you some day, Catherine!!

Over 200 hibernating Garter Snakes! It is the stuff of my dreams.

Right now I will just have to settle for Jake Krinkle Snake curled up on my lap having a little snuggle time.

Just a little follow up note: the snakes have successfully hibernated and have been released safely to the wild.

I am still so jealous. If they can have two hundred snakes in there home, why can't I have one or two in my back yard?
