Anna Mason runs Anna's Rescue Centre in Cardiff. She has used about 40,000 pounds of her own money to neuter people's cats.
One unneutered cat can produce many kittens. The only way to stop it is neutering, but many people can't afford to do it.
All the rescues are struggling with increasing numbers of cats in need.

Anna is on the right track. The only way to reduce the numbers of cats is to stop them from having kittens.
If people can't afford the vet bills then they need help.
Some shelters have been able to open spay/neuter clinics.
The trap Neuter Release programs help. We all have to pull together to help reduce the numbers of unwanted cats and kittens.
