Most important job at the dog shelter. - Catherine - 06-20-2026

Muttville Senior Dog Rescue has many important staff and volunteers. The most important one is their Cat Tester. That is the cat that meets every dog and tests his reaction to cats. People wanting to adopt ask if a dog is good with cats. The Cat Tester meets the dog and checks out its response.
The original Cat Tester was Mustache. He was an older cat with serious kidney trouble. He was excellent at the job. Sadly he is gone now, but Little Dude has taken on his job.

That is a very good idea. If you need to know if a dog is good with cats, introduce him to a cat. I am sure many dogs had a better chance of adoption because of the cat tester.
