Australia finds new way to prevent wildlife/car collisions - Catherine - 07-24-2026

Wildlife/car collisions are a global problem. In Australia, 90% of collisions are with Kangaroos.
Volkswagen has come up with a car that emits a sound a Kangaroo can hear. This could be the deterrent that prevents car/Kangaroo encounters.
There is still work to be done on the project, but it has great potential.

The idea is brilliant. It could go further. Wildlife/car collisions are a global problem. What if cars were set to make sounds that would warn off wildlife
wherever the car is. It would have to be specific to an area and the wildlife encountered, but that is possible.
Maybe with the use of different technology, the car could be told what wildlife to look out for. This could save a lot of lives. I hope it works.
