Toronto Zoo is happy to announce the birth of a baby Pygmy Hippo. It's a girl!
This is mom, Kindia's third calf and they are bonding well.

The baby is so cute. She is also very important since Pygmy are endangered due to habitat loss.
There only 2-3 thousand left in the world. Maybe this cute little baby will get people interested in hippo conservation.

The mom looks pretty happy. I think she knows she has the cutest baby born this year,
We are going to enjoy watching her grow up. I wonder what we are naming her.
