The New Zealand SPCA has created a set of Learn-To Read books for children 7-12 years old. The goal is to help children with their reading skills while teaching them about animal welfare and treating animals with kindness. The books fit into the existing school programs help the children while educating them about animals.

It is a great idea.
It can only bring good results. Better literacy and more compassion towards animals are both good goals. Who ever thought this up is brilliant. Everybody wins.
