Namibia to cull 723 wild animals because of droughts
#1
Namibia and much of Africa are experiencing severe droughts. The government has assessed the situation and plans to cull animals like elephants, hippos, zebras, impalas, wildebeest, buffalo and elands. The meat will be used to feed the people who are facing food insecurity.
This is a very drastic measure in a desperate situation.

I don't know what to say about this. The drought is severe and many animals will die if they don't reduce their numbers.
At least the animals are being used to feed people. Their deaths are no being wasted.

How did we bring our planet to such a state that there are severe droughts in one place and severe flooding in another.
There are out of control wildfires and tornadoes and hurricanes. Everywhere you look things are out of control.
How did we do this and more importantly, how do we stop it?
