It is Fat Bear Week! And the winner is...

Every year at this time the brown bears in Alaska get very fat eating salmon. That fat will keep them alive over the winter.
Humans vote of which bear they think i the fattest. Cameras are set up so we can see the bears and then vote.

There are some pretty chunky bears in this competition. I think some of them have been in training, eating up whole salmon.
Anyone could win it, but I think Chunk 32 has a good chance.

The voting is over and Grazer has won. She is a big mama. It turns out that Chunk killed her cub. Chunk may be big, but Grazer got the votes.

Grazer beat Chunk by more than 40,000 votes. The public has spoken. After what he did, Chunk is not worthy of the Fat Bear tittle. The fact that Grazer is the one who beat him, speaks even louder. If he hopes to win next year, he better behave.
More than a million votes were cast. I guess we take our fat bears seriously.
