Brazen theft at Edmonton Animal Shelter

Two women walked into the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society and appeared to look around. Then they walked out with a safe full of money and valuables.
The shelter is devastated. They really need the money for animal care expenses.

Shelters right now are desperate because so many animals are being turned in.
The shelter had to work hard to raise enough money for the animals. Having it stolen puts them in a bad situation. They need to work even harder to raise more money. They are already working as hard as they can. Hopefully people will come through with generous donations.

The police are looking for the thieves. They have good pictures of them. Sadly even if they catch them, the money is probably gone.

The Edmonton police know who they are looking for and they have issued warrants. 
The local community has responded to the shelter's loss with great generosity.

It is always amazing how people respond when animal shelters are in trouble. They lost money they really needed.
People responded by giving them as much as they lost and more. Businesses that give to charity regularly made their donation to the shelter.
It is still sad that they were robbed, but at least they know they are not alone. They do good for the animals and the community has done good for them.
