Are wind turbines killing off our birds? Yes and no. Yes some birds are killed by wind turbines. Many more are killed by the effects of fossil fuel power generation. 
Birds are killed by collisions with windows and power lines. Birds are killed by cats in extreme numbers. Birds are dying because of habitat loss.

So, yes wind turbines kill birds, but other things kill more birds.
Can we make wind turbines more bird friendly. Yes and they are working on it.
We could also make windows safer for birds. People could keep their cats inside.
We could stop habitat destruction.
More likely safer wind turbines will happen first.
