This is terrible. Just leaving birds to starve is extreme cruelty.
The company involved is state owned so the government should have stepped in.
This is the problem with these massive factory farms. When things go wrong, they go wrong in a big way.
There are always thousands of chickens involved and there is no easy way to save them.
Good work on the part of the National Council of Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
They did what they could and they saved half a million birds. I feel for the staff who had to do the actual work of rescuing and euthanizing the animals.
