When Molly the African Grey Parrot is home alone, she uses Alexa to play music. Molly has good taste in music and she likes a real variety.

When you live with an African Grey, you are not necessarily the smartest person in the room. Molly clearly listened to her human using Alexa and figured out how to do it herself. I know humans who can't make Alexa work that well even with a list of instructions. Molly figured out that she could get Alexa to play music and she knew what songs to ask for. That is pretty smart. Why sit at home alone in silence when you can ask Alexa to play whatever you want.

He better hope Molly never figures out how to order from Amazon. Who knows what she might want.

Great thread and an amazing video. Molly not only put on the music using Alexa; she also was clearly enjoying the music she chose, bobbing up and down.

The intelligence of African greys is always a source of wonder to me.

African Greys never cease to amaze me. They can imitate out voices perfectly and they seem to know what the words mean.
It is nice that Molly can play the music she wants while she is home alone. I have hard of a number of parrots doing that.
